My site has been open since Feb and Yahoo has taken its sweet time indexing my pages.....The past 2 weeks the spiders have stayed on my site day in and day out....

Everyday the idexed pages go up which is a good thing......FINALLY.

How do you know if they've been hitting your site a lot?

Enjoy the visit. They slammed me most of July, and as a result my site has been heavily indexed into yahoo. A simple check at marketleap for link popularity showed an increase for yahoo from the neighborhood of 25,000 to 540,000. that change took place during the yahoo "infestation".

Hmm are there any specific server logs you mean? I'm currently using CPanel...

Yep, in CPanel go to 'Web/FTP Stats'. You'll see all kinds of neat stuff here
    I personally like 'Awstats'

Just use another one. You are probably using an older version of CPanel.

Yahoo slurp has been LIVING on my server for about 10 days now, but the number of my pages indexed on yahoo hasn't even gone up by 1 :(

How long does it take after being slurped to appear on yahoo?

Three months, huh? Thanks for putting a time-frame here. I was kinda worried since Yahoo is supposed not to have a sandbox.

Yahoo is slow, but their results do seem to stick for a long period of time, once they finally do decide to index your site.

I have seen exactly same thing on our forums (link in my sig), Yahoo is indexing content with more then 100 bots active currently.

But the yahoo index is too less compared to google now, although yahoo is indexing since last few weeks.
    Strange.

Nice To Know Y! bot visits you everyday :->

Personally Inktomi Slurp is almost always 30% away from sucking all my monthly bandwidth. I think i need to move to a dedicated server.
