Yahoo has an Algorithm?

No, Yahoo is powered by a roomful of Gnomes known as "Yahoos." The Gnomes spend all day typing in random urls, when they find a good site, they write the address on a slip of paper and sort it into one of millions of categorized shoe boxes.

Then, when you type a query, a little bell rings, and off go the gnomes to find the right shoebox and type the listings in as fast as they can. That is how Yahoo delivers its results.

Gnomes can type 11 TB/minute.

 

Their search results aren't healthy results. Copycats can be found on Page 1 and Page 2 . If Yahoo has an algorithm, oh well, it needs a grandiose upgrade.

 

I think yes, it must have algo!

 

Of course, each SE has unique algorithm; the question must be WHAT WAS THE ALGORITHM OF YAHOO?

I only know google has it

 

Yahoo definitely has an algo which they claim to be cmpletely different from google, so not sure
