    What's the main differences in optimizing for the three major SE's? Are they all much the same or has a website got to cover many angles to get highly featured on each one?

    They are keeping different Algo.

    Google will more stick to backlinks and quality of backlinks
    Yahoo and MSN give priority to your On-Page Factors.

    Optmizing for Google is the most difficult one .. you need to have quality backlinks , Unique and Original Content .. Google does'nt care about meta tags and stuff .. its all about the content mate.

    Optimizing Yahoo is easy as compare to Google. My sites easily indexed in Yahoo. I have not checked MSN ever. I do not think that there would a major diff. between these search engine optimizations tech. Backlinks are always requried.

    Even my site search engine ranking up in google and down in bing.

    these are major Search Engine and the some difference in algo for ranking your web site but i like Google so try to optimized my site for taking Google algo!!!

    They are all slightly different. I started off ranking really well on Yahoo and MSN, and then slowly my websites climbed up on Google.
