What's the best way to incorporate Flash, but make the site search engine friendly at the same time? Does Yahoo read any of the flash files? Should you simply do a text only version of the home page? Do any of the search engines deal better with Flash than any others?

That's an oxymoron. Flash and search engine friendly. Like oil and water.

Write your site in standard html and then offer links to the Flash version for anyone who might be interested. The problem with Flash is that it is interesting the first time you see it, after that it's a pain in the ass to be forced to sit through all that cute stuff before you get any information. I personally will leave any all Flash page as soon as I have the misfortune to land on it.
