    Hello,
I had my Yahoo account since 18 Years old. I logged into my account after like a year or 2 at max on 29 May 2019.
When, I logged in A messaged Poped out that your account is being made as it is logged in after 12 months. And when It opened everything was gone.. I had emails of 18 years and everything in it..
Now, I want it back. What is the best way to get it back. I emailed on the yahoo help but they won't reply me. Plus, I see messages on the Help site that messages deleted older than 7 days cannot be retrieved back.
someone can help your this friend over here.. guys.
those emails are very very very important to me.
    hoping for your cooperation guys..

I suspect that Yahoo felt those emails weren't very important to you. It's probably detailed in their TOS. I suspect you're fighting a losing battle.

    1) Those Emails were very extremely important to me.. 18 years of data.. I could not log in for a long time due to some circumstances.
    2) And Now that only 2 days have passed since I last logged in, and not yet completed 7 days... are their any chances of retrieving the data.. yahoo gives 1 TB of space for what if it has to delete all the data on it's own without giving the permission to do so.
    3) Can you or anyone else has Yahoo's email or whatsapp whom I can contact and ask for my query.

Yahoo tend to largely ignore e-mails, but if you use old fashioned snail mail it gets their attention so....

You violated the MOST IMPORTANT rule regarding computers of ANY KIND. ALWAYS BACKUP EVERYTHING!!! And back it up (keep copies) in AT LEAST two different OFF-SITE locations. If you had OBEYED that rule you would NOT have lost ANYTHING.

That said, based on my own experience with Yahoo (I lost nothing of value), you are likely to NEVER see your data again. Suck it up, learn your lesson, and move on.

Completely offtopic but I'm fascinated by what circumstances stopped you checking your email for more than a year.

    1) When you say OFF site... Does it mean in a differenet email server like Gmail who do not delete anything in a long run or a hard drive with our selves.. but hard drives too ger=t damaged; so the best chances were with online email server.. that's what I thought...

    2) Now, that they deleted it ; and they are giving 1TB of space ; maybe if someone or you could guide me that if I push them hard they might use some recovery programs to recover and bring back my data.

waiting for your detailed answers for both the points.

It means ANYWHERE that is DIFFERENT in ALL aspects. Different PHYSICAL location. Different PROVIDER. and so on.

For example you could store backups:

    1) on your computer at your home
    2) on a storage device stored in a bank deposit box
    3) on your work computer at work
    4) on a DIFFERENT email address with a DIFFERENT provider
    5) in a file on whomever hosts your website
    6) use your imagination with the main criteria being that if one is lost you still have a copy

Even if you have two copies at the same location (like your home) but on different hard drives you would still have a chance of recovery unless a tornado blew them both away at the same time. Even minimal duplication, even on the same hard drive (not recommended), is better than nothing.

Early in my programming career before learning this lesson, I once lost 8 hours of programming when the power failed. After that I started keeping FOUR copies EVERY day of everything on a rotating system. Years later power went down again. This time I had backups so only lost about an hour of work. And luckily I had been keeping FOUR copies. Due to computer failure I lost THREE of those copies in the first ten minutes of trying to recover. The computer was destroying them. I saved the fourth copy until I was POSITIVE that the computer would not also eat it.

You can try to get it back, but Yahoo probably DOES NOT HAVE COPY anywhere on their servers meaning that it is IMPOSSIBLE to recover the files. So, trying to reconstruct your files from nothing will be impossible.

I really did not get it.
some one just said me that " an employee of google who was earlier with Google said if you keep pursuing them; maybe they can come up with a solution that can bring back all the data"..
DO you think this could be true..
