Yahoo eCPM down the drain?

    Hi,

Was simply wondering if anyone else's YPN account has been earning considerably less than it was a little while ago.

From $110 a day to $18 a day with the same (or more) number of clicks?

I continue to find it amazing to me that cpc rates are lagging for publishers while advertising costs continue to escalate. Me thinks the biggies in the biz (google and yahoo) are somehow pushing the boundaries on the publisher's share of the click profits.... wonder how long it will be before there's a revolution?

For me it seems to go up and down, like yesterday i did great, today i am doing so so. For me it seems to alternate like that, day by day right now.

I switched two sites over from Adsense ot YPN and now have to wait hours for daily balance updates. I will give it a couple more days but it looks to be a mistake. Adsense seems to get more clicks and revenue.

YPN has been up and down.

Why don't they just pay us $10 for every click?

My earnings are stable, slightly increasing. Even with 1000+ clicks a day, across multiple sites, you can see pretty wild flucuations in click percentage and pay. Some days just seem to have visitors prone to to clicking an ad, and since yahoo has a much smaller base of advertisers than adsense, it sometimes only takes one or two advertisers pausing or dropping their campaign to affect payout. I would suggest not paying a whole lot of attention to daily figures, but rather on a combination of multiple days or even by the week to get a good statistical average.

I also run PPC campaigns and I've seen a slight drop in pricing across a fair amount of sectors so this would translate to a lower payout to publishers.
