FYI- I've learned that you can call 1-800-891-6853 (then, press option 3) if you want to your DSL rerated to $12.99. Here we were paying $19.99 and all we had to do was call and ask them to rerate us.
I don't doubt Comcast is faster, but in my case it costs about 4 times that of Yahoo's $12.99 Express DSL. I don't download large files all the time, so the lower speed doesn't bother me.
Really depends on what your looking to do. If your looking for bandwidth I would suggest going with cable. However if ever plan to use your connection for posting to CL then I highly recommend a DSL connection because they provide dynamic IPs which can be renewed fairly easily. It all depends on your objective.
