Yahoo Drops Mash and exits social networking

It's just incredulous how the Web 1.0 giants are still playing catch up in the new world. Yahoo has just dropped their foray into the social networking world with the announcement of the closure of Mash. Yahoo 360 will soon follow, which leaves Yahoo Buzz. Looks like Google still leading the way.

Yahoo is going to open a new social networking site. What they should do is hire some young talent and have them design it. Allow young people to make new apps and ideas. Although, yahoo has opened its doors with creating apps and allowing people to make there own search engines using yahoo technology. Thats is huge IMO,.

Yes I'm curious to see how this plays out. Would be nice to see a revitalised Yahoo back up there with the new boys. They were my one stop shop for all at one time.

Good thing that yahoo mash was dropped. I just signed up for it when it was invitation only and then never used it because I found it boring. I heard about yahoo 360, saw it once and never used it.
