I have had two sites, one for a year the other for four months. If I do a search it comes up completely empty. I submitted the url allready. What to do?

Hmm, try visiting high ranked websites on google and by getting something about your site listed you will get listed. For example if they had an advertising section, advertise on it and then the advert would be displayed on yahoo :)

try to resubmit to yahoo and add your sitemap also to yahoo, if you add also to other major search engines like Google and MSN eventually Yahoo will crawl your site and index it;)

    Once is enough.
you don't need to submit the site again and again.
Once you're done submitting it then that's enough
It will only be useless if you resubmit your site.

Thanks, just to reiterate GOOGLE indexed my site long ago and is working great. I think I'll try to get a link on some high ranking yahoo sites. Probably easier said than done but that's the route I am trying. The site is for a pub tavern type restauraunt.

Sign up for a Yahoo Site Explorer account - you do this through your Yahoo account. Once inside your explorer account, add the site to your account and then submit a site map or an RSS feed to Site Explorer. This will help yahoo find your site and pages.

Once you have Site Explorer setup, sign up for a Yahoo Blog Log account - and add your site there. The Blog Log will give your site a couple of links from inside yahoo.

After both of those, sign up for a Yahoo 360 account and add a link to your site to your 360 profile.

With all three of those, you should have at least 3 links going to your site and a sitemap setup.

My site doesn't get listed in Yahoo either. I look at my logs everyday and see the Yahoo slurp crawling but when I search for my website in Yahoo, its not listed. Is there a waiting period?
