Yahoo domain renewalls now $34.95

I have 10 domains with Yahoo and I just was advised there renewal price will increase to $34.95 as of 7/1/2008. A dumb move by Yahoo in my opinion. Obviously I will not be paying that much $$.

Who do you use/recommend?
I do not need hosting just domain reg/renew.

I use domainsite, which is no frills @ 6.99 a year...and gives me whois protection @ 50 cents a domain a year....i hold some 30 domains with them...recommended.

I've heard this rumour before. Can you quote an email from Yahoo or have a Yahoo link?

 

Erm, you knowits a pain to move domains from Yahoo!

 

on 16 th June I transfered to domainsite.com just waiting to approve by losing register.

I still have two domain names with yahoo, and will transfer away from it right away.

 

wow yahoo has really uped there price, i use dynadot and love there service and suport

 

Well I only use GD and Name. I only have one name at Dynadot,seems alrite but its better if I could bunch them all in just 1 or 2 registrars. Anyone know where I can transfer .info at the lowest price? Coupons or whatever? Thanks

 

Transfer it out to Name.com for $5.99

 

Can I have a clarification please, is it $34.95 per domain or for all domains that are registered with Yahoo?

each presumably. that doesnt surprise me one bit, their domains are a loss leader to get people there
