I'm having a lot of trouble getting traffic from Yahoos search engine, and I've got no clue why. I've been running a site for about 5 months now. Google pagerank is 2, google traffic is slowly building, I'm getting around 100 hits from google search per day. Yahoo is averaging 1 per day, just over 30 hits total in the past month. Looking in Yahoo site explorer, it's showing 196 pages with 1,596 inlinks. Is this ratio normal (100 times more traffic from Google than Yahoo?), or am I doing something wrong here? FYI the site is dentonimages.com If anyone has and ideas they'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks, --Steve
It takes alot longer for yahoo their slower.. And yes thats pretty normal ratios.. I get like 10% traffic from yahoo but it seems only on my older sites.. The newer sites dont hardly get anything its like this for evryone so dont worry just keep building links after awhile your yahoo traffic will pick up....
That's nothing to be suprised. The yahoo search traffic is lesser than google search basically. It same happen to m website, 300++ google indexed and 4000++ yahoo indexed but the traffic ratio is 95:5 between google and yahoo search
Well i care about yahoo because i'm getting 57% traffic from Google and 40% from yahoo and just 3% From other Search engines , So yahoo ranking dose matter dear maybe just for some specific regions but it dose
yahoo is more slowly to crawl and index your sites , over the past months I tested myself too , its seems slurp downloading the site maps once per week for one of my forums for example , Google downloading same files 2-3 times daily . Also msn bot don't know yet what means index site maps for example ... and there are loads of differences between them ...
Yea, just stay with google. Its the most popular search engine so you are bound to get more traffic fro google than Yahoo
I started my site a few weeks ago and set-up my site on both Google, Yahoo and MSN at the same time and none of the hits on my site comes from Yahoo and MSN. At the same time some of my articles are at the front page of select Google searches... Overall: Google is your friend!
yeah this is happening to me as well from what I've read its because yahoo spiders are slower than google and a lot more people use google to search for things.
