Hello, Is it worth it to pay $300 a year to get listed on yahoo directory ? How do you calculate your ROI ? Regards,
there are many useful information about this http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1644885&highlight=Yahoo+Directory
A lot of it depends on your competitors. Of course, we'd all rather not have to pay....but in a competitive niche you may not have the choice. It really is one of the best links available anywhere, perhaps essential if you can't get into DMOZ
ROI is different for everyone...but I wouldn't assume that Yahoo is going to send you more than a few dozen visitors per year...and maybe that leads to a handful of sales. If the product/service you are selling has a relatively high price, then it may be worth it to be listed. If not, there are probably alot better ways to spend $300.
I wouldn't waste your time or money on yahoo. Check your site stats.. how much traffic do you really get from yahoo now days in comparison from google. Just my 2 cents.
$299 is annual payment not monthly, In my opinion it is good to pay $299 for Reputed Directory like Yahoo.
Just to respond to this, having a link from yahoo will increase your google traffic. If you have a serious english language brand and are also buying say commercials it's definitely worth it.
