There used to be a guy around here who could somehow get it in there. He charged like $50 or something. He was able to get it listed in like two days.
Yeah, he probably used a stolen credit card. Generally I would stay away from such offers. I think it is very likely that you are removed from the Yahoo directory once the complaints of the credit card company start rolling in. Some categories in the Yahoo Directory still offer free submission (although I haven't been approved that way). You can also try Yahoo Canada. If you get in this way, it will be propagated to the us (I think).
Gradually Yahoo is just focusing on only paid listings and only non-profit websites can have free listings.
it's a good chance you will be listed, however better build some free tools or very specific niche.. don't overload your pages with tons of ads (preferable, if your web site is new and you can avoid ads for a reasonable amount of time, a week or so, or unless you get listed... your best bet is to "hit" local yahoo pages, e.g. UK, Canada and such...
