I'm curious, is it worth the money to get added to it? I heard it will bring in some traffic, but exactly how many people actually search the yahoo directory now days?

 

For $299 yearly, you are better off buying content for your site. It won't bring much traffic anyway.

 

if you are rich webmaster, why not, if no - don't bother, there are plenty of directories on the web

 

it really depends on what kind of webmaster you are and what kind of business are you running.
If you think your customers would be interested where your website is listed, then I guess you should do it.
Personally, you could invest that money into your site and you will be way better off than buying listings on yahoo dir.

In fact, you would be better off if you would take a look ar the service forums here, buy some that better fits your website needs.

Its just a thought though ..

The Content is teh main thing Along with Backlinks... U would soon be going to Listed In yahoo.. Many Of my Sites are listed On yahoo and are now enjoying good Pay By Google Adsense

I would say if you have a large budget then yes its worth it, If not then no you could spend your money more wisely, such as content for your site, site design, hiring a SEO expert.

 

$299 can buy many good contents and/or several excellent links

 

put that $299 on googles adwords. it will bring more traffic gurrented

I'd say that this is like a legit company scamming people...I wouldn't pay for that unless I was a business entity.

 

even if is not sending traffic will help you to grow dramatically your authoritative presence ... ( its almost similar with other paid and good directory's around ). So if you have some bucks to role out .. I think its worth

If you have more money then you can spend it on any other better way to promote your website

 

dont bother with that crap, i would recommend overture, it has a much better convertion rate than adwords and atleast when someone clicks and lands on your site you then will pay

 

yahoo sometime accept some sites for free just try add it
