    Your money is probably better spent on other paid directories. You'll get 3 or 4 hits a month from Yahoo's directory and some link juice. You can probably spend the $300 in several other directories and get a lot more link juice from them.

    I host a few sites listed in Yahoo's Directory and the trouble isn;t worth it. They've all done the normal addition, not the quick one though.

    It's alot of money, you may want to do a quality press release with that money, you'll get more results from that than Yahoo, and still some good page ranking too.

    Yahoo Directory I believe is a place for well established businesses just looking for any clever reputable backlink. Although it may not be cost efficient on a webmaster's part, as Matt Cutts says, the Yahoo directory has established a well editorial directory that is paid to be included, and some who do pay sometimes get rejected. I find Yahoo Directory more as a corporate/business directory because they can financially afford it.

    Although it depends how much money your site/blog generates. For example if you are making tons of money, may be yahoo listing is not bad for $299. But for most of us, I think its a bit too costly. You can get permanent listing for $99 or so in other high PR directories too.

    I would not list my link for so much $, there are much other cheap directories with good pr to add to.
