hi, i'm trying to submit my bingo portal to yahoo directory, the one that's for £190. There are already many gambling sites listed in the directory but my submission has been rejected due to having gambling comment! does anyone have any experience with this? why was i rejected?

That could be one reason but do not get upset about the matter and start searching for other relevant directories.

If there is nothing in the terms and conditions that states you should not submit gambling related websites then do a chargeback on your creditcard. The yahoo directory is way overrated like dmoz, you'd be much better off targeting high ranking directories in your specific gambling niche.

There is no way I would pay the 200 bucks they ask for, you just need to link to pages in yahoo and they will find you for nothing. I too have a gambling website so even I did pay and submit I would not be sure to have it listed.

Rather than ask here, why don't you ask Yahoo for more information? If they rejected your site, they should be able to tell you exactly why and should give you the opportunity to fix any issues.

DMOZ does not provide feedback on why a site is rejected, but DMOZ is free and can do whatever it wants. Yahoo directory is paid and therefore should provide a specific reason for rejection.

Yeah, let's have a look at your reject website. Maybe there's something you've missed.
