Yahoo Directory Submissions

    A couple quick questions,

I submitted my site to the Yahoo directory, but apparently it wasn't accepted.

    1) How long does it usually take if they are going to accept it?

    2) Any idea how long I should wait before I try to submit it again?

    Thanks!

Did you pay the $299 Express Submit fee?

It usually takes a few weeks for them to actually include your site.

I don't know how long it takes via the free method.

No I didn't pay the express fee. Is it signifigantly harder to get listed without paying that?

I never have submitted to Yahoo, yet most of my sites are listed. In fact, some of my sites seemed to have almost disappeared in Google, but hits from Yahoo and MSN are up.
I believe the best way to get listed on Yahoo, is to get links to your site on other website that are already listed on Yahoo. It is the only way I can see how my sites are listed.
    cheers from bceagle!

Two different things here, Yahoo! directory (paid inclusion) or Yahoo! search engine (free or paid). The paid version can take a week or two (directory) and the free search engine submission can take, well, forever... ;)
