Yahoo! Directory Submission Best Practices

I'm pretty sure I'm going to take the $300 plunge and submit a site to the Yahoo! Directory for the first time soon. Anyone out there have advice of do's and don'ts for a first timer? Is there anything that a noob might do while submitting that could prevent getting the most benefit of the submission?

Perhaps it's as easy as "Add your URL here" but let's say they also ask you to provide a title for the site. If that's the case, a) can you modify this title later if you wanted to, and b) how keyword-happy should you get in the title, or should it be written like good linkbait?

I know, I know, I must seem like a total spaz but I'd just like to get the most from the $300 :)

title is the most important in yahoo directory, it should have your target keyword in it, please note that you can't (never!) change it !.

Why don't you try a free submission and wait for few months. If your site is not included then you may decide to take a plunge.

However, i will not waste money on yahoo dir and time on dmoz dir.
If you have designed your entry page well, then it will do better in search engines.

Atleast i have better luck on my site compared to my competitors who are listed in dmoz, yahoo dir.

    good luck.
