I have been looking at submitting a site to the Yahoo directory at a cost of $299. My question is, can there be any seo benefit if the page is not even indexed by the big G? For example, this page: http://uk.dir.yahoo.com/Business_an...Services/Outdoors/Gear_and_Equipment/Torches/ As far as I can tell has not been indexed yet, but must have been there for a while due to the number of sites listed. Any ideas?
Yes it's still worth it, just ask the same question in a couple of seo forums and include the link to the category and it will be indexed pretty soon.
I do not think it will worth if the page has not been indexed and cached by Google. How that link could benefits you in Google since they do not acknowledge about it?
Why not submit to the dot com equivalent? http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_E...ices/Outdoors/Gear_and_Equipment/Flashlights/ Probably get listed in the UK version by doing so.
I think the question you should ask yourself is: Am I so desperate that I have to pay $300 for 1 (that is one) backlink? fastreplies
My thoughts exactly, but perhaps it will be worth it if I put in some effort to get the page indexed?
Good idea - I would like the assurance that if it just ends up on the regional version that it will be picked up.
