Yahoo Directory Question

Does anyone know if you're allowed to have multiple listings in Yahoo directory? I know you can't have the same URL twice but what about this...

    Example.com
    Example.com/page-1/
    Example.com/page-2/
    Example.com/page-3/

I didn't think it was allowed but I have come across a website that has about 9 listings. One listing for the root URL and 8 listings of additional pages.

    Thanks

Interesting, I'll have to look further into this because I didn't think it was allowed in yahoo's dir, I know others allow it and it makes it nice to target specific pages that are related to specific categories.

The website in mention has multiple listings in the same category as well. The TOS says to make sure you're URL is not already in the directory. So that could mean a specific URL or entire website I suppose. I wish I knew the answer because I don't want to do a 300.00 dollar test to find out then run the risk of my website being pulled all together.

I have multiple listings for the root and deeplink pages across several categories. The deeplinked page is listed in 2 separate topical categories and the root is listed in a topical category and several related regional categories.

If I do a site:dir.yahoo.com domainname.tld search in Google, it returns 34 results.

The deeplinked page was submitted well after the root was listed. It was a free listing and it was accepted and listed by the editor in an additional topical category.

Not sure how it would work as a paid submission. If the deeplink does offer content that is different from the root topical subject I don't think there will be a problem. If the deeplink is closely related to the root's topic, I wouldn't chance it.

Is the page you are considering submitting worthy enough to be listed on it's own in a separate topical category? Or is it directly related to the main topic?

For instance, with the site I'm referring to the root is listed in Business and the Regional categories where they have a business presence. The deeplink is listed in the Reference and Arts subcategories.

Yeah that is understandable. $300 is $300. The only site I have ever seen in the directory that had multiple links to internal pages is to the directory itself, however if you have found a site doing it then it is probably ok as long as you are not submitting multiple links that end up taking you all to the same content.

FROM Yahoo: (For example: A user who submits multiple portals to the very same content is not submitting substantively unique content.)

The website that has multiple listings is all in the same categories, business. The pages are all pretty much the same and promote the same affiliate product. I think the website owner may be creating seperate Yahoo accounts and paying for inclusion hoping that he doesn't get caught. I would give it a try buy my main concern is getting blacklisted.

I would be careful in that respect because if they do find it or a competitor finds it and sings like a bird, they are liable to take all the listings down altogether.

Thanks CReed I've never seen that form.

Edit: I just sent a request to get clarification about this and I will post back here if they reply for those who are interested.
