I doubt you'll be able to just submit an update request to change the current category to the Adult section of the directory - from your post I take it that it is not listed in the Adult section?

You won't be able to change to the adult category. The previous owner likely paid the $299 annual fee to be listed and will be removed when that time period expires. Changes must go through the yahoo account used when it was submitted (which you don't have). Adult listing are also $600, so even if you had the yahoo account, you would need to pay the additional $301 per year to be listed in the adult category. If the content has changed from when it was originally accepted (which I am assuming it has) you wouldn't want to draw attention to that as they would surely cancel the current listing if you have adult content on the site. You need to pay $600 to have them review the site every year. The fee is non-refundable, so if they don't accept the site, you are out the $600 review fee.

    Why bother to do anything?

Eventually Yahoo will crawl your site and change content to what you have now.
I wouldn't ask Yahoo to make changes if I were you at least for now.

A crawl by Yahoo's bot(s) will not result in the directory category and description being updated.

Granted, it will not, but it will change html and subsequently cache to what he is having now.

    Are you just guessing?
Why should I care about his concern in a first place?

He wants to change listing and to that I said: Why bother to do anything?
    End of the story.

C'mon Arthur, the guy's asking about how to update a Yahoo Directory listing - if you got something that'll help, please by all means offer it. If you want to play badminton, send me a PM. Let's keep it out of the thread - fair enough? ;)

Unlike others I don't repeat what somebody else already says. @mjewel gave complete answer and
I told to OP what would be his best solution outside of trying to screw up what he has right now,
    listing in Yahoo.

I don't know what is your problem but I would suggest next time you have nothing better to do, go fuck yourself.
