Lately Ive noticed that none of my sites rank in Yahoo, whereas before it was really easy to get into. Ive heard a rumour that yahoo directory listing almost guarantees you to be found in yahoo search. Well in that case $299 for the annual listing should return pretty quick. Is being listed in Yahoo directory a benefit in terms of being found in Yahoo? Would it help my site's SEO all together?
I see alot of people using yahoo directory. Yes i say it helps in yahoo and all other search engines. Look at yahoo directory rank it can help your site rank higher in google also. As far as yahoo making you alot of money not sure about that. For some reason i never get alot of hits compared to google. If both google and yahoo list my site for same search term i should get traffic that is close but it does not work out that way. Maybe people who use yahoo click more of paid ads then google adsense ads. Remember yahoo has ads listed first google has them on side and some on top not as much as yahoo. The price to get listed is alot. I would like to see stats if anyone has them on sales from yahoo after paying to get listed.
Yahoo has been undergoing some changes. It is no surprise that your rankings are changing. Just be patient. Getting listed in Yahoo directory gives your site more credibility, but it is only one piece of the puzzle. I don't believe it is a deal breaker in deciding whether your site is No. 1 or No. 100.
well lately its been the case of appearing in yahoo alltogether. none of my sites are listed in yahoo directory and none appear in yahoo for the best search terms. i just think that this can help
