If i could afford to i think id go for it, at first it seems like a lot for one listing but you could spend that in PPC for example with little to show for it. Although the listing is only for a year, its longer than some other marketing methods would last. As for its effectiveness i dont know, but in the future, funds allowing, id be willing to try it for some sites.
Only for serious businesses. I've heard although the traffic may be pretty decent, it isn't worthwhile for the $200 unless you are a serious business in need of publicizing to the world.
If you thought that was a lot, check this out: approvedbusiness.co.uk/Register.aspx It's £475 for a basic listing and £675 for a featured listing. I challenge anyone to beat that!
well the price is high - but if your website is sticky to visitors, it might just be worth the one push through yahoo for the frst yr
I've got two domains: cmrgraphics.com http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://cmrgraphics.com and handrtech.com http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://handrtech.com They have results from the web archive starting from 2001 and 1997. Both domains are also yahoo directory listed. As of December 28, 2001, Yahoo! charges an annual listing fee. Any commercial site submitted through the Yahoo! Directory Submit service after December 28, 2001 will be charged an annual listing fee of $299. I know that commercial sites submitted before December 28, 2001 are off the hook; They will remain in the directory and will not have to pay the annual listing fee. These domains are for sale.
