And you are still not listed? Hmmm DMOZ is nearly impossible to get into any more for most sites. It's a Dinosaur. Find the category in the directory and click on "Suggest a Site". You'll need a Yahoo Account. And it's also nearly impossible to get listed for free anymore.
yahoo DIR fast approval if the price is right.. google dmoz, may take some time if your site and the submission is right..and its free, but then they both count as backlinks and worth a link..
DMOZ is best and free... yahoo have good worth but price is high and its yearly bases. DMOZ is free for life time. Don't push to DMOZ team they will approve soon
The Google directory is the reply for what he is looking. Though, as a common rule, he should not allow PageRank decide his partners. It is way much important for making his site handy for both customers and visitors. As directories are terrific resources of subject associated partners for a site, he must use a foremost one for the search; for example, the Google Directory, the Yahoo! Directory and DMOZ directory. Therefore, finding potential linking partners is very easy when you use the main search engines or directories.
I don't get an visitors from either directory, but it helps with rankings. They are both authoritive links.
Both have there own importance like two eyes.. they are two largest web directories in web but DMOZ is little higher than Yahoo dir, because Dmoz is free and google maintained..
dmoz is very diffculte and you should pay to list your link at yahoo dir it's will be a good for your site rank in the searchengines if you added your site in the 2 directories
DMOZ is always a mystery because thousands of webmasters submitted their links more than five years ago and still no news or reports about their web submissions. The Yahoo directory listings can be expensive but they are really high quality links.
Just to be clear, Google uses DMOZ material but Google and dMOZ have nothing to do with each other at all. Any site can use DMOZ material provided they give correct attribution as required by their licence. Google has no influence over DMOZ and DMOZ has no influence over Google, they are entirely separate. It can take from a few days to a few years for a review in DMOZ for a possible listing. If you want to know anything about DMOZ there is a section on here devoted to it. Reading that section and especially this sticky http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1504323 will give you all the information you need.
