it's Yahoo! directory not Yahoo search, and it's not free.

 

It costs around USD300 to get listed for just one year in Yahoo Directory.

You have to pay for inclusion into Yahoo directory. Also i think google realy likes yahoo directory so it is your money well spent.

Is free for non-commercial websites. You just have to keep try submitting your site because is not always working. Took me 1 week or so to be able to submit.

I paid the $300 for a speedy "review" and was listed. If you get listed I think google gives you a little trust boost...at least it seemed that way for me. You might try http://ca.dir.yahoo.com/ I have heard you can get in the yahoo directory easier through .ca

 

some non commercial sites can get in for free but everyone else has to pay $300/year
which I don't think is that bad for the traffic and link juice they provide

I think they charge 200 bucks for a year. I think that's a lot of money.
