Yahoo count number of back links?

    Hi to all,

    We know that Google result is depend on the number of links and yahoo give the less wattage no of links. Yahoo result depend on the on-page optimization of website.

    But i am feeling that yahoo also gives more importance on number of links. What you say about it so please share your view at this topic.

    Yahoo cares more about back links because it has its own backlink checker and doesn't incorporate PR as much.

    I feel the same that both SEs depend on on-page optimization as well as number of backlinks...

    You cannot say Yahoo gives less importance to backlinks. Ranking of a website depends on the number of quality backlinks. It is not an inferior factor compared to on page factors.
