    Thats possible... the URL is different for both of that site... and also the backlinks for Microsoft U.S is much higher than that for U.K.. if we put microsoft.com then it points to MS US and not US... maybe thats the reason....

    Yahoo was PR 9 before the last update. It was 10 some time before that a few years ago.I think Google hand picks this one. There is no way they don't have everything it takes to get a 10 in the algo.

    Google has 3x as many backlinks as Yahoo so wouldn't you expect different PR? There is no corruption in PR, it's an algorithm...

    I think Google is lowering the bar for low pr sites 1-3, and upping it for medium and high pr sites 4-10.

    a lot of people link to the adobe flash player, especially on flash websites, which creates thousands of natural links coming to their site from high PR as well as low PR sites, which explains PR 10 :p
