I submitted my site to yahoo directory and successful get listed. But yahoo changed my anchor text (which supposed to be few keyword phases) to my url (xxx.com only) and my description (orginally 2 sentences w 20 words) to 5 words. Would this affect my search ranking? How to ask yahoo to display the anchor text and description which i prefered?

    Hello,
No, you will not affected, you will improve in the Search engine :). Maybe this could affect if you want to rank a keyword.

I don know whether the keyword ranking is affected or not, but my site shown xxxx.com as link-text and too simple description which is not what i want. I wish to modify the link-text and description to attract more clicks as it was not eye catching now (i will not click on the link if i were the searcher). How do i inform yahoo to change? or should i do the free submission again?

Same thing happened when I submitted my site to the yahoo directory. It won't hurt your rankings, in fact, being in the yahoo directory should only help your rankings. I don't know if there is a good way to ask yahoo to change it to what you origianlly requested. I am just keeping it as is because I don't want to get banned or removed from the directory. :)

Hello! It will certainly not affect your Yahoo rank, and maybe the search engine compressed the information for a quicker and safer database insertion.

Don't worry it will not hurt your rankings, at least not in yahoo results.
