I'm in Canada now and I instantly noticed that the CA version of Yahoo has nofollow's all over the place, and they're promoting Firefox lol. Is the .com Yahoo promoting Firefox today? (Screenshot attached.)
Yahoo is different in all regions and this is normal. You know that Yahoo is a portal, not just a Search engine and they try to provide services and content they define as more relevant to any country. Of course this sometimes means commercialized
like they said. results aren't the same in diferent places. most coutries have their own google. like google.uk google.co.il etc.
Ok, even with screenshots you all completely missed what I said. I wasn't talking about results at all, I was talking about the promotions and use of the nofollow being completely different, which is interesting because it shows that they are either more worried about PR being transferred on their .CA site, or they just have a totally different group of people managing their Canadian portal.
