I've been using this tool to check backlinks lately: http://www.online-utility.org/webmaster/backlink_host_ip_analyzer.jsp It also shows unique C class IPs for all the links, which is quite handy. By the way, has anyone heard that Yahoo backlink checker will soon become unavailable??
Hello All, I'm new to this forum, and fairly new to being a webmaster, so please bear with me as I expose my ignorance! Regarding Yahoo Backlinks, how long does it generally take for backlinks to show up for a website in Yahoo as well as for Google? I've done a whole lot of bookmarking for our Philippines Typhoon site over the last couple of weeks, but according to several backlink checking tools I've found on the internet, only three or four show up! Can anyone tell me why this is the case? Also, I have another company which claims to have created several hundred bookmarks for my site. They say it can take several months for those bookmarks to show up, and can't give me the URL's for any of them. I find it extremely suspicious that they can't provide proof of even one link they claim to have created, and I can't find even one backlink from them after a couple of weeks worth of work. Again, any ideas? Thanks!
Yahoo Site Explorer is an essential piece of kit, but if you want to do more with the data, you'll have to use manual search queries on Yahoo. For example, say you want to identify all your backlinks but filter out internal links and sitewide links from a partner site. The manual query in Yahoo would be linkdomain:yoursite.com -site:yoursite.com -siteartnersite.com and there's so much more you can do with this, such as picking out .edu links or.gov links, etc. Give it a try. Hours of fun
apologies for the unintentional smiley in my last post, there. It was meant to be "partnersite.com" with a minus in front of it
You can check the back link of your website by using the following command:- linkdomain:http://www.example.com.com but it will show you also the links coming from your domain, so to skip the links coming from your domain, you have to use the following command... linkdomain:http://www.example.com -site:http://www.example.com this command will skip the links coming from your own domain and will show you the links only coming from the other domains.
Use yahoo site explorer! It's accurate, and shows many links that google counts but don't show up in a google search for your baclinks. As long as the location (url) of your backlink has been indexed by google, it will count toward your rank, but usually won't show up in google webmaster tools and even less in a google search of your backlinks. They do, however, appear in yahoo site explorer, and this is what makes it so useful as a backlink tracker. Yahoo site explorer also makes it very easy to only count links towards a single page or domain with the option of including or excluding inlinks from that domain itself.
A lot of 3rd party Yahoo! backlink checkers probably aren't going to provide accurate statistics anymore. Yahoo! recently discontinued their developer API for checking backlinks, therefore it's probably better to manually check things on Yahoo!
hmm... many yahoo backlink checker not can not be used again. probably because yahoo is being moved from yahoo to bing. does anyone know how to order our site has backlinks from yahoo?
