yea, seems as though the results come most relevant first, then the spammy sites that link to you last.. I wish Google did something like that.

came across this yahoo tool some days back...

    http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/

From the Site explorer home page:

    Why is this search different?

Site Explorer allows you to explore all the web pages indexed by Yahoo! Search. View the most popular pages from any site, dive into a comprehensive site map, and find pages that link to that site or any page

    hope this helps..

I am using the site explorer too. It is a cool tool. But any difference between the listing and that in the linkdomain?

This is what you might be looking for with Yahoo:

    linkdomain:yourdomain.com -site:yourdomain.com

It gives you all the backlinks with the internal links removed.

Google's Webmaster Tools (http://webmaster.google.com) provide similar functionality for exploring incoming links (as well as, with Analytics, the ability to export traffic as well).

What amazing gall guys; as if how many posts someone made on your forum determines the knowledge value of what they post, or should determine whether they're allowed to help people by linking in posts.

As far as I know, link:www.URL.com is the only valid syntax that you can use to check the backlinks of a website manually in Search Engine.

i find yahoo backlink checker extremely unreliable as the amount of links veries hugely from 1 day to the next

Very nice, Michael. Works excellent, although I think I'm still partial to the site explorer. Thank you!

Yahoo explorer is nice, but it get hanged when you need to explore so many backlinks, if anyone know any other tool that can analyze all the backlinks.

    Thanks
