Yahoo was flamed for providing lap dancers at a recent Hack Day event.Chris Yeh Yahoo Developer Network said "I wanted to acknowledge the public reaction generated by the images of female dancers at our Taiwan Open Hack Day this past weekend."
what is ur opinion abt it?

If yahoo wants lap dancers at there party let them have them. Who doesn't want lap dancers? I think this is ridiculous that they would take this to the news.

As someone with ties to Taiwan, I'm never too happy about an American company coming over and reinforcing stereotypes of us as being corrupt and wicked. Even though I try to point out that the CEO was a chinese-american, it still somehow comes off as "this is how Americans do business" Granted our exports are war, porn, and fast food, but we don't need the whole world to know, do we?

Knock it down a notch. Seriously they really think "this is how Americans do business" when they see that stuff over here. It's so annoying when I go on a business trip and they all expect you to be corrupt because you are American (business partners think sending prostitutes to my hotel is a good idea, not realizing I am a decent person in a committed relationship and my girlfriend was WITH me on the business trip, a radical concept). When Americans go over there for business trips, even if you are married, they think it's "polite" or typical business policy to send strippers, prostitutes, etc. Apparently I'm the only one ever offended at their "polite" business gestures. Didn't realize all my countrymen were scum.

While I'm not philosophically opposed to the concept of lap-dancers, I think a business event is the wrong place for them.

I think it's pretty hilarious myself. "Oh no, hiring nude dancers in an area filled with adult males!" When did the media become so randomly hypocritical?

The other day, it was all over the news that Meghan McCain wore a tank top. Talk about a slow news day.
