2 or more people have to report you and there is no yahoo answer staff reviewing it. It is automated. I use yahoo to host a few sites and asked the IT guys about answers. They said its all automated and only a few low point user has to report you and your gone. If a high point user reports you , you are gone. Its ajoke

What a long, well thought out first post!.

Anyway, Without reading the original question I can't really say weather it was fair or not to delete it.. that would be speculation.
However If you are looking for a speculative answer as to why it was deleted, then I can give one of them :D

The way you asked the question here (from your memory), sounded to me like you were almost questioning weather Yahoo answers was in some way addictive. (or bordering obsessive compulsive). And asking others if they felt like that to..
If a mod or official at Yahoo answers read it that way as well, then I can understand why they deleted it. They would not want to have anyone thing that Yahoo answers was in some way responsible for creating OCDs in people would they?. If that is the reason they deleted your question, then I think it is extremely unfair of Yahoo and borders on immoral.

You could test my theory and ask a question like "Does any body else think Yahoo Answers is addictive?" and see how long it takes to get deleted! just a thought ;)

    Cheers
    James

It's an internet message board - stuff gets deleted all the time.
From message boards all over the web.
It was never worth the effort of typing out that ridiculously long post about it.
Every time somebody mishears or ignores a comment you make during a conversation at a party do you spend all the next day chasing after everyone at the party to repeat the comment and make sure they understood all the implications of everything you'd said? "You don't understand - I said NO ICE IN MY COKE PLEASE, AND I WAS CLEARLY IGNORED"

Well, comments on the internet to total strangers are about a thousand times less important than that.

Let's be real, a question like that is always prone to deletion. Things that are not convenient to hear are silenced. Happens all the time everywhere.

Questions are deleted for either don't stick to Yahoo Answers TOS, because they are reported by someone else as violating such terms, being offensive or something else at a member's discretion that Yahoo seconds, or when you are reported for being spamming such as recommending ponzy schemes or providing links to a non-related question resource.

Who cares if it's fair. (What are we 6? Life isn't "fair.")

Start your own Yahoo and you won't have to worry about it.

Very long indeed... but I have to say, why speak so ill about the other users anyway? You're only adding more trashy questions in Yahoo! Answers than there already are. Truth is, it is kind of like chatting.

Do you think any provider that give a free service to others will let them use their service to give bad name to their services? You say something about fair. It could be fair to you but what about the other party in this case YA.
