Can yahoo answers typically be a trusted source for factual information? Considering tech wise? Thanks!
Well i think it is. Whenever i need information and i google it, most times it brings up yahoo answers as the best option for me.
Hi, Yahoo answers is really helpful, for example. Rather than searching for a query in google or a question, or if you just need a "human" response you should use Yahoo!
In my experience, no. Half the posters a Y!A are Walts and Know-it-alls. Even those that know nothing are convinced they're experts, which is quite worrying. Only trust those with a decent reputation and post cost... a bit like here really!
It really depends on who responds. Some of my question I had some good feedback, but some I didn't have much luck.
Well, some good sources are just Wikipedia researchers and blag that they have knowledge, but an expert always stands out as giving analogies for their answers or explaining in a fluent manner as applied to the situation. Otherwise, don't rely on anything on the internet other than trusted sources of genuine research for information.
It depends from the kind of question you are making ,and the audience which will respond ... is better to post in during the times that you think that lots of people are online and watching it ... with passing of time is possible that the right question will fade
Yes, it's a great site and most of the time it's helpful. You'll get the occasional troll winding someone up about the question or answering with something completely irrelevant but most of the time it's a great source for trusted info, especially when it comes to tech.
yahoo answers will be posted by users. So it is not mandatory that it should be 100% right. If I am answering a question at yahoo answers then it is totally depended on me. I could say CHINA as a capital of USA You could only guess, the best way to authenticate the answers is to check the majority.
Yahoo answers have been a good way of getting quality backlinks for webmasters. So, it is quite flooded with knows-it-all experts who try to shed their pieces of wisdom, on whatever you ask them. This gets very annoying when a group of such users support each other's poor answers.
