Yahoo Answers still good for generating traffic?

The last time I dabbled with yahoo answers is more than a year ago. I got banned and didn't bother since, but have been wondering if it still is worthwhile to take time answering questions on yahoo answers for extra traffic and backlinks.

Is this still worth the time? Anyone here have any success with it?

 

Yes, i still get good traffic from yahoo answer specially from health,technology and sports topics.

 

If you have a skill to answer and solve all the queries efficiently you will definitely get good traffic

you must know how to encourage people to follow your link .. you must give accurate answers that need more explanation so people will be wanting more ..

Another trick, try linking to some of the answered questions .. these will show in the serp easily ..

 

It is not only a good way to generate traffic but also best for getting a link. Yes, its true. If your answer is choosen as best answer and you additionally have a link in it which refer to it some website or even yours then make sure that you are going to get a do-follow backlink from Yahoo.

Even the yahoo answers are scrolled several times in a day and if you have many answers chosen as best answers then you are sure to get good traffic.

 

It is very good, but mostly will depend on the way your answer and your ability to solve the problem. Good traffic guranteed.

 

If used properly it is great, but if your intent is to go there and spam you will be banned in no time flat.

Sure people are still using it to get traffic but it's a pretty good way to get banned. You can read and read the rules, that can not be the solution. Many people still use yahoo answer to get traffic, i will advice you contact those at the answer yahoo who have been doing for more info.

 

It is nofollow. But if you do some keyword research and use some low competition ones in your answer it has a better chance of showing up in the search engines. It is good for getting direct traffic. I have made sales this way. Also, don't tell people to click on the link, just give a great answer and post your link as if you were listing it as a resource. Sometimes people click on links more if you don't tell them to. (at least that is what I have found in my experience)

 

Yes, it's good but you solve problems and provide helpful information not only promote your site in Yahoo Answers.

 

doesnt generate a lot, but yes some traffic. people seem to focus more on social marketing these days, which is more like instant coffee.

Yes, you can get direct traffic from Yahoo Answers if you answer questions that are closely related to your niche. And make sure you include your keyword in your answer as well.

It does work for a lot of people, although be aware that there is software out there to make sure that your questions and answers are always being shown on the first page by rotating accounts.

 

Oh yes, Yahoo still drive a good traffic as long as you give good information, as long as you are correct. Don't forget yahoo.
