Yahoo answers marketing Results...

I was trying yahoo answers marketing and I posted several answers with my affiliate link below in the source section. I did it all manually. One of my answers even get best answers by one asker. Then after some 15 days, look what happened (here). All my answers were deleted and my points deducted. Does this mean that it is almost impossible to market on yahoo? I nearly decided to buy some software to speed up things. Now I back off. I am afraid I may even loose my email acc't. Or they will not close my email address? Many doors are being tightened for affiliates like me. The free ways are really becoming obsolete and too tiresome. What do you think guys?

I think your email account is totally safe.

Otherwise, I have never found Y! answers much effective in regard of marketing, though used them shortly some years ago...
Just do the usual SEO for yahoo, as to any SE and rely on the natural search results for visitors/sales.
    Good luck.

You can add related (nofollow) links. But if they look too spammy it is likely to get your account down...

When you are facing problems while marketing in YA, it is best to just outsource the work to other people. And this forum and other IM forums can help you in this regard.

Ya other people can help me. I once paid some guy over at fiverr and he gave me some 10 or so backlinks. But I don't know if they remain live or deleted today. The answers I gave were genuine - meaning I write them from my own understanding. I used no software. And the links were in the sources section ( I used redirect url) But I am afraid it no longer works because they delete your answers once they found out you have affiliate links in your answers.

Yes they will delete your answer, if they find affiliate links. So do not point to affiliate links directly.

Please read the terms and conditions on posting answers. You should not promote the non relevant links in the answer.

I totally agree, after a while their DB is scanned for what seems to be spam like links to them that dont match entirely with the answer and get removed.

It's better to point your link to your own blog post where you have content and your affiliate link. You also don't want to do this on every question you answer either. I learned the hard way but every 4th or 5th answer is ok to do.

It's crazy... can't make a buck anywhere without someone squashing you out. Guess the worldwide economy has something to do with it. Everyone is scrambling to make a dollar so they are shutting down all the holes.

That is exactly what I am feeling. The good old days are may be somewhat over. Even paid advertising has become tight. You don't follow adwords TOS then your acct will be closed. Marketers that already collected hundreds of thousands of emails seem to be immune to these tightening of loopholes if you may call it.

Keep on struggling anyway. A light at the end of the tunnel is right nearby - I firmly believe.

you have to be real careful. I have had a lot of luck with Yahoo answers I am almost a Level 3 and can leave links, but they are Nofollow.

Still, I get a lot of traffic from Yahoo answers because I leave good answers and 25% of mine are chosen as best answers.

You probably did something wrong or you did not read their posting rules well. Maybe you were adding too much link or the answers where not good enough.
