I have read many times that Yahoo Answers links do not count towards google SERP's. However when looking through a competitors website links I found a Yahoo answers result included in the search using: link: www.wiipreorder.co.uk/ This cam up with the following page: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071112123149AACZYrR So Yahoo answers links do count towards a pages rank and they are not all no-follow links, at least not in googles eyes. Anyone else find the same. I can provide screenshots if you need proof.
They're nofollow so they don't pass PageRank. The answers themselves show up in searches on google and yahoo, and the links are counted in Google webmaster tools.
Yes I checked too and they are all nofollow. This only makes sense as Yahoo answers was getting spammed so much. It sounds like Google webmaster tools is just showing any kind of link whether it is nofollow or not. Does anyone know is this is also the case for other nofollow links?
It helps, but only small amount of traffic! Yahoo answers was getting spammed so much. I don't think it is necessary to use this kind of technique. I suggest to focus on getting tons of quality links rather than useless links.

Google never show the backlinks from yahoo answers because it is nofollow questions and answers forums. Yes but this is the right place to increase more and more traffic.
Yahoo answers has a no follow link. But you can also consider it in promoting your site. As long as you provide valuable information to the users. Most people spam this service. You can do it 2 -3 times per day if you want to. You can generate traffic to your site because of this.
Yahoo answers are all no follow links. However it can be useful as a source of traffic. The only problem is that you have to keep posting.
Yahoo answers are great for traffic. I have done it before and if you can put some good answers, traffic will increase.
PR - ok it doesn't count, but what use is Page Rank when your trying to increase SERPS? Yahoo answers can benefit you fo SERPs though, it counts as a backlink and you recieve a benefit in Google for a link. No-follow or follow, it still counts in the Google SERPS, not the page rank which who really gives a shit about that nowadays?
