Yahoo answers - Is it worth it.

Ok guys I want to lead this by saying i made a post about yahoo answers suspending my account. Happened a few times from my links. My new strategy was to spend 15 minutes every morning answering about 3:1 ratio of just answers with every third answer being directed to a link that was highly relevant (not homepage) on my site. Worked well.
Now I went to look at the traffic in googles analytics and its telling me I have scored only 3 visits from it in about 2 weeks. Anyone want to shed some light on me.
I assume these are backlinks, so will they build over time?
Is all hope lost and take a new natural traffic strategy?
Are you getting decent traffic from yahoo answers?

 

Yes, it's definitely worth it. At least it works for me though.

 

I had two sites in the past that I used Yahoo answers on and the traffic from having it was negligible... and the work that I had to put in just to correct some of the grammar, and even some of the answers really didn't make it worth it for me. Of course, that's not saying that it does this in every niche.

 

If you want traffic from Yahoo Answers, make sure that your link is clickable and leave answers which have good quality and related to questions. Persistence is required to generate enough traffic from Yahoo Answers.

 

Yahoo Answers is great for entertainment and asking questions. But the Answers TOS forbids advertising.

 

If you want someone to click your link then leave a related and quality answer.

 

yahoo answer, very few people post real answer, rest are used for links, so if u want real click from yahoo answer, post real answer if you know.

Yahoo answers seems to work well for me. I've answered a few questions over the last 6 months and my website receives about 15 daily unique views each day from those answers. It's not much, but than again I have only posted maybe 10 answers.

 

Yahoo answering is definitely worth your time. But while answering you also have to make sure the answers are descriptive and help the people who ask the question. Then only he will be interested to click the link that you provided. If you are giving just one or two liner information through Yahoo answers, it won't help.

 

If you don't put your link there but your answer was some advertising words. They will suspend your account immediately .

 

yahoo answer is widely used by many people, and also useful for our daily life . but it will be many posts for ads .that is so boring .

 

Yahoo answer is a good source for targeted traffic.
But you cant get backlinks for google since links are nofollow.

What strategy do you use for links? Like post a quality and good answer to the question and then place your link as a source of answer or post your answer on your page and lead user to your page to get the answer?

 

You should atleast ans alot of questions to get backlink from yahoo

 

Yahoo answers is rubbish for link building. It's only good for obtaining answers to questions, and that's it

Yahoo Answer is good source of traffic, there is no doubt but be careful, if you are banned so you don't have to spam it, you need to follow the guidelines for better result.

 

I think it depends on your niche. I have gotten some traffic from yahoo answers though so I would say that it is worth it.
