One of the methods I read about was traffic building but I think you'd have to be careful with it. Basically you answer a question briefly and then say something like visit here if you want to know more then provide a link to a blogger page. Then on your blogger page you have a link to your web site. I looked at it but I think you could probably get links removed very easily if you're not careful so I've not actually used it. Apparently it does work though. Tim
Thanks for all the great insight. I'm glad I'm well educated in my niche. That seems to be helping me allot. So far I have 2 answers that where picked best
Yahoo answers can provide traffic and they are recognized by yahoo as links. However, they will not help pagerank since they are nofollow. I know this for a fact
You can't really say that since you said it yourself that you haven't actually used it. I've used yahoo answers since i first got into this business, and am still using it. It works great to my advantage. I haven't had my links removed in any way.
You are right, although Yahoo answer is a no follow, it is still give some benefit for the website such as high traffic and backlinks as well
Yahoo answer link is nofollow so it might not have any impact in link building for google but i'm not sure for other search engine. Anyhow putting link on yahoo answer would be marked as spam by some of the their community and you could be banned if not careful. But people who asked at yahoo answer is really looking for real answer so anyone who are totally aiming at just selling something with out giving any real values first then they could just waste their time over there.
I'm not sure why people always think that yahoo answers will give you link juice. They are nofollow - The only thing YA is going to do is give you traffic...Just think to yourself it's giving you backlinks and I'm sure you'll be ok
Yeah, Yahoo answers real value lies in its ability to generate traffic if used correctly. Don't hope for PR though as all of them are no-follow. I am curious that someone says some of them have the do-follow attribute. Well..I've yet to see any.
