    As alot of people have already said they give you traffic and very targetted traffic at that! But the backlinks are nofollow and so are not counted by google (or so they say)!

    Exactly... plus alot of them convert really really well!

    I earn alot of money with yahoo answers and it gets me a hell of alot of traffic too.

    They used to be, but no longer. To get both a backlink and a higher rank, people would post sophisticated questions and answer their own questions (with different b/c of course) so that they would get selected as Best Answer at the same time...

    Yahoo answers in my sense is a very profitable service from Yahoo. Though now a days it has become full of spams. I think Yahoo pages rank high in google page for specific keywords so you get good Traffic out of it. You can't expect Backlinks from almighty Yahoo.

    Good response and I suppose it depends on the niche but I wouldn't waste any time on yahoo answers as most of the questions and answers are by 10 year old kids and retards alike.

    It's a pain they dont allow links. I think they used to. I remember I could click on a link there. Does your or domain name count for seo if it is not a link?
