Yahoo! Answers - Anyone seen a good result?

I am considering spending time with Yahoo Answers to build highly relevant links/answers to a couple of sites.

If you have direct experience with this, please let me know how it has worked for you. Is it worthwhile? Measurable?

    Thanks!

I've tried it. Mixed Results. I do know that some SEO companies and IM'ers do this technique.

I used it for a brief spell. Didn't find it to be very beneficial. Brought it a tiny bit of traffic but apart from that nothing.

you might get some traffic if you participate heavily, then again it depends on your niche as well. for some niches, there are more competitors than actual visitors who are over exploiting Yahoo answers.

pay special attention to community guidelines if you are goona be spending some time there as yahoo answers is notorious about suspending user accounts. they suspended my account once, i would say wrongfully, and i had to appeal to get my account back. if you abide by the guidelines and if you dont have nay evil competitors who would report your post for no reason, you will be fine.

Measurable? Sure, but personally I wasn't willing to experiment using only YA for link building for any part of my site.

One of my target search terms (with about 200 monthly searches in the USA) has a YA question at the #1 and my site (with about 300 backlinks to the specific page) at #2.

not sure about link building , most people use YA affiliate marketing. I personally look for question relevant to my blog, and if possible include a link!

Yahoo! Answer can only provide kind of traffic generated through on-page optimization in fact on seo it is hard to find any benefit of it

YA works best when you answer questions in an emotional way. Such as: "I was going to loose my house then a friend of mine recommended I get this book (you can find the link in the source box below). It really saved me from financial ruin. You should check it out to I think it will really help." Let the link be a landing page with your sad story on it and of course the link to your offer. I did this and made $300 within 1 week and by only posting about 10 times.

With Yahoo Answers, you just got links for traffic, it's not mean the backlinks can increase your page rank or SERPs.

yes very true, how dire is the question? How spammy does your answer sound? - that can get you banned. But a genuine review thinnly disguised as an affiliate link, on a pressing issue, can show great results, because yahoo answer traffic is highly targeted. Cheers

First of all, YA links are nofollow but are even showing in Google Webmaster Tools, which really surprises me.
You probably will have some benefits seo wise but not of too much weight.
We have posted YA a lot and still will keep posting as time allows but traffic wise it's nothing to jump on the table and dance for. Although we only post answers niche related to our shop the bounce rate of the traffic coming from YA is pretty high.
But this might not always be the case. I know a lot of DP members swear on YA and have seen nice results.
Just watch it and do not spam or your account will get banned.

    Cheers
