For me Yahoo Answer's didn't provide enough traffic to even have a shot of selling something. I would just stick to PPC if I were you.

I am also wondering about Y! Answers, but more about where to find questions to post on. A lot of the popular questions have already chosen their "best answer", so you aren't allowed to post answers on them anymore. How do you find questions you are still allowed to answer?

It's much harder to push your affiliate links on Yahoo Answers these days. They have started cracking down on people who blatantly post their affiliate links. Best to cloak it.

My main forum has a few links from yahoo answers, but no real traffic. So if your looking for traffic from yahoo answers - dont count on it. The most your going to get is a couple of deep links.

I put my URL in the source of my answer, but it didn't even post as a link! Yahoo! Answers only posted it as text, and I don't think you can add HTML to your posts

Yahoo Answer is one of the good information resources and internet marketing
site. The only problem is they offer only limited traffic, because if you have posted
your link more than twice in any of the thread (though it was helpful) they will
    banned your account.

Yahoo Answers is NoFollow. Waste of time really, having to wait around all day for relevant questions.

They really crack down on posts that are just endorsements for products.

I agree with this one. Nowadays, you get little to no traffic from Yahoo answers.

Sometimes that is waste of time, i have tried that before, i post a question with my link in, but it show as text, you can't click it direct to my site, so the search engine can't find it, and the only benefit is the people who interested in your question may come to your site!

I use Yahoo Answers for my research but I would not hold my breath trying to generate my traffic for the site which is pretty much what the general feel is here.

Y! Answers can be helpful as parter of a larger marketing plan, but you need to really provide decent content not just links to sites.

The time it takes vs. the traffic you get is just not worth it in my opinion. Further, unless that traffic is converting into $, it worsens the actual value of writing answers. I've experimented with it, and moved on. It's not worth the time.
