From my experience, if its in the source box, it wont get deleted as long as it doesn't link to some porn site.

In the actual answer I don't know. But maybe in the answer say "Click on the source link for more info"

I point people to my website not to get PR or any search engine benefit, but just to give them more information on their question.

It's best to leave a helpful, third-person review. Then leave your link in the "Source" box. Refer to my blog for some more helpful tips. ;)

Yes, living a link on the source box helps a lot although it's a no-follow. Visitors may have a chance to go to your site.

You can either put it in the answer itself or the resource box, but you must make sure you have the http://

I noticed there's a lot of people who leave their url without it and it doesn't turn to a live link.

Try to give useful information as well as putting the link in the resource box. As long as you give a decent answer, you shouldn't have to worry about it getting deleted. I answer about 10-15 questions a day with links in the resource box, and I've only ever had three of them deleted. Ironically, those three answers that were deleted were when I posted links to other sites and not my own.

Unless your reply is really useful, you can easily be tagged as link spamming and your organic rankings might suffer. Plus apart from minimal traffic, links on Yahoo! Answers are useless for SEO since are tagged as "nofollow".

I usually leave the link in the source or sometimes i incorporate the link in the body of the answers. I am having a good success with yahoo answers and my sales have doubled.
