Is it just me of did Yahoo recently change there links in Y Answers to No-Follow. I would have sworn just two days ago links in Y answers were good links, but today when I went to go answer some questions and build some links they all showed as no follow.

That's not good news, but thanks for saving me the time and bother of ever answering a question there ever again. Yes, I wanted the link, but I also did my best to give a good, relevant answer. It's dead to me now.

It doesn't matter if it's nofollow as long as it gives traffic.

But our purpose is to build Inbound links... so why we link in if it's nofollow:rolleyes:

and getting traffic is not enough. the point is to convert that traffic...:)

I've pondered this for a little while, I bet they were getting spammed by completely irrelevant sites. It's a shame.

Well if you are able to answer questions that are related to your site...you can probably do an excellent job of converting incoming traffic. For example, say I have a website that sells Audio/Visual replacement parts. I visit Yahoo answers and start helping people with their Audio/Visual problems. I don't shove my link in their face, but rather, diagnose their problem and leave a link back to my site where they can purchase replacement parts.

Unless your sole purpose is to increase the PR on your page, I would assume that you are building links so that you can move up in the SERP's and drive traffic to your site. Well, spending time to provide a useful answer on Yahoo and leaving a relevant link back to your site can do wonders.

Here is another example for webmasters:

    http://answers.yahoo.com/search/search_result;_ylt=AosfrawFMYPc5yVr6Ktyxovpy6IX?p=Page+Rank

Look how many questions there are about increasing page rank. Wouldn't this be a good opportunity to answer a question and provide a link to your web directory and/or SEO services?

But remember not to be annoying about it. Don't leave responses like: "I can help you increase your Page Rank, visit my site http://www.SPAM.com".
