I read some tutorial in Digg abt the link building with Yahoo! Answers. But I found that the links from Yahoo Answers is with nofollow. So what is it ?
You're correct they are NOFOLLOW so they won't pass any PR juice to your site but spiders will follow them. I would say if you're going to use Yahoo answers use it as a traffic building technique as you will see some clicks to your site. You might actually be surprised just how much traffic you'll get from there.
I've used this method and it depends on your niche. I've got some traffic from yahoo answers using this so its effective
Ive had great traffic from yahoo answers. And somtimes yahoo answers will beat me in google for some specific search term and then bamb theres my link as the best answer even more traffic.
google doesn't count it as backlink, but yahoo counts it. Anyway, Yahoo answers are more for traffic rather than backlink.
Same here. Best answer several times but I think once the question falls off the first few pages, no one looks at it anymore except the author.
Yahoo answers is a great way to get exposure not PR - everybody seems to agree. Thanks for the informative posts everybody.
I have some nice traffic whenever I use Y!Answers Who cares about "nofollow" tags when traffic is free?
how we know the traffic from Yahoo Answers? I also try it but don't know how to detect the traffic from Y!A..
The nofollow attribute is being interpreted differs between the search engines. While some take it literally and do not follow the link to the page being linked to, others still "follow" the link to find new web pages for indexing. In the latter case rel="nofollow" actually tells a search engine "Don't score this link" rather than "Don't follow this link." This differs from the meaning of nofollow as used within a robots meta tag, which does tells a search engine: "Do not follow any of the hyperlinks in the body of this document. Below is image of nofollow for various SEs Note: "Google has publicly confirmed that links with nofollow have no value whatsoever."
I don't get much traffic answering on Yahoo Answers, generally 2-3/day. Whats the trick, anybody wanna share?
