Hi I have been using Marketleap and Search Bliss to get link popularity and search engine saturation. Suddenly I got a return that Yahoo/AltaVista "timed out" albeit the tool is lightening fast. SearchBliss returned no listings and then I got yahoo/AV in search engine saturation. Total 479 (usually higher but up and down). Still not getting anything in Yahoo for Link Popularity and once again it says I have no history. I have been using these tools for nearly a year. Does anyone know what is going on please? My link popularity was 230 last week (changes daily) now it is 26!! Every time I check there is something wrong. This has happened over the last few days. Cheers
I believe that the problem with Yahoo is because of their new search page being the default for yahoo now. Not entirely sure if the timing is right but I noticed the same thing at marketleap.
Thank you. The latest is that yahoo is picking up alta vista records. So now the search engine yahoo is returning results while alta vista returns "cannot be found" in MarketLeap. Another problem. While trying to see my seach engine positioning in yahoo, Internet explorer 6 closes the site down with a minute or two. (send eror report comes up) Also yahoo havent got any discriptive statements. I can see now why Alexa IBP is not returning any 2nd or third page.
I have the same problem too with the timing out.....it's weird though, because some days it times out and others it doesn't.
Thanks very much. SGood to know am not alone. If anyone gets the latest "official" news please let us know. i also use Search Blliss and I get a range of listings within one day. This is especially so with incoming links. Just my luck when trying to sell my site. many thanks. I think we just neeed to wait for some sort of announcement. I am worried that there are no descriprions of content in the new yahoo listings and why I am notgetting 2nd and thiird places through IBP. If using ata vista which they are, you would expect the changeoover would include descriptions. oh well - out of our hands. cheers
