I thought I had read somewhere either yahoo or msn pays attention to what links are clicked on under a search term, and some weight eventually goes to that url for that term because it feels the ore clicks you getthe more relevant people are finding your site, is this true for which engine and to what extent? thanks

i.e does it pay to click on your yahoo or msn results

Most theory's have not been demonstrated.

What's not to understand i hear/read awhile back that yahoo or msn one of them tracks how many clicks certain urls get on certain keywords.. if alot of people click your link in the results of a search the engine says ok this must be a relevant link and they give more weight to it in the future when that same keyword is searched.. is this not true?

Whether it is true or not really shouldn't matter. There are undoubtedly better ways to spend your time than clicking on your own listings.
