    You are comparing Yahoo to what? Rest of the search engines? If thats the case, maybe you should comment on the search quality of the Search Engines instead of what appears on the home page.

    Google gives far more relevant results than Yahoo does. Yahoo as far as I have seen only cares about the title tag and description, and well, that is about it. Google uses authority and relevancy in their algorithms, and because of this they are the number one site on the internet.

    In that context, Yahoo has the news update page along with search engine landing page. A very good feature, but did they really capitalize that? In term of search engine, they are far behind of google.

    yea their stricter on their algorithm producing better search results but their homepage is full of ads so google is more popular...is their a lesson to be learnt here??

    Yea exactly, it was a great way to lure people in. Did anyone else try out adding widets to their google homepage? I much rather just plain search engine really.
