Y! dropped all my pages except the index

    I don't get it... a few days ago I had around 1500 pages indexed on yahoo (it's supposed to be around 35000) and most of the pages were ranking really well, and instead of the number of indexed pages increasing, they dropped everything except the index page

    The yahoo spider is still on my site, but it's going really slowly and it visits random pages so i'm not sure what it's doing

    anyone experience something similar? :confused:

    My sites dropped out of Yahoo a long time ago (not banned, just buried for search terms I rank #1 every where else). With this recent update I've seen one random page of my site pop into a #2 position in Yahoo. Who knows. Yahoo is dumb (so are any other search engine that don't rank me well ;) ).

    My stuff's been all over the map this week with yahoo too. I'm not worrying about it. Either Yahoo is totally retarded and there's no way to deal with a retard, or it will sort itself out. Good time to go and tweak the content for higher conversions.

    Do you want to post the URL? What was the content anyways? 35,000 pages is a lot of content, could some of it have tripped a dup filter or is any of it machine generated spammy stuff?

    Almost same here . I didn't have many pages but now I have only Index left within . But now the index shows on 8 . Should I be sad or happy ? Also does anyone here has been recieving faster indexing by Yahoo?

    i'd really rather not post the url but i can assure you it's not spammy or machine generated... just a regular site with some content relating to its topic and an active forum community...
