.XYZ 2 Letter Domains, I don't understand

    I mean... seriously, I don't understand this.
I've been lurking on DP for a while, but I decided to make a account and ask this because this time I couldn't find this information anywhere on the Internet.

So let me start with the facts:
    fb.com - bought by Facebook for 8.500.000$
    we.com - bought by a private buyer for 8.000.000$
fb.xyz - Available to register for 1$ (unless some of you when read my post will register it...)
we.xyz - Available to register for 1$ (unless some of you when read my post will register it...)
There is a ton of LL.xyz domains available to buy for 1$, so my questions are:

WHY NO ONE IS BUYING THEM?
Why .xyz is boasting about having all LLL.xyz and LLLL.xyz completely registered and they don't seem to care about LL.xyz?
Isn't 2 letter domain names supposed to be worth (generally speaking of course), more than 3 letter domains?

Ok, you could buy fb.xyz and then what? You wouldn't create a Facebook on that domain of course, but it has to be worth something for someone, it's right now available to register for 1$... what is this madness?

.xyz domains are worthless. What does .xyz mean anyway? It means nothing.

By the way, those available 2-letter .xyz domains cost $13,000 on Namecheap and GoDaddy. Looks like the tld manager/sponsor or whatever is gouging the market hoping to sucker somebody into wasting money on worthless 2-letter .xyz domains. I looked at some new tlds when they were released and all the best names were "reserved". It's all a scam to try to get people wasting money on worthless tlds.

Most of the LLLL.com domains are worthless as well. I see worthless domain names being sold here at DP and elsewhere all the time. On domainer sells to another and sells to another and they are all paying money for worthless crap. It's called the "bigger sucker" theory of investing. Someone buys something worthless in hopes that a bigger sucker will come along later and pay even more money. It applies to real estate, too.

.com has been the de facto standard for domain names for 20 years now. Anything else is inferior. .com is king.

10 years from now, I wonder if we will all be kicking ourselves for either buying, or not buying as many of the new TLD's as we can.

I invested a few of the new TLD's, names that I would be happy to hold long term, and or was planning to build sites on in the future. The registrars are labeling tons of domains as "premium". Me stupidly thought it was a one time fee, (no information available anywhere to state otherwise), and that it would be standard yearly renewal fees would apply afterwards. Well, thats not the case. Ridiculously high renewal fees apply year after year. I dropped the domains like a hot potato.

FB.xyz is available, but the price is high... there is no guarantee what the renewal fee will be. Unless you can be guaranteed to earn that money back within 12 months, (or flip for more then registration costs) it is too risky.

The xyz extension is funny, it means nothing, but alot of people are buying into it.

There's no way you can ever register a two letter domain unless you're willing to spend a five figure on it.

Those 2 letter .XYZ domains may worth more in the future when its difficult to find such domains.

That is because currently there is a huge sale on the .xyz. Many registrars are selling it for less than $1 or $2. So basically those who needs different and unique domains to spam, they are buying xyz.
